Daniel Philip Wigton - Groom
Born of Douglas and Janice Wigton in October of 1979, Daniel is the fourth of ten siblings. While such numbers may evoke images of cheaper-by-the-dozen mayhem, family life was by large a quiet affair. If the number of siblings was news to you then the remainder of his story will be far too long in the telling to relate here.
Daniel is currently a web developer living and working in St. Louis Park, MN. In his spare time he courts Ann.
Ann Marie Foede - Bride
Ann is the third and final child to Gary and Bonnie Foede. She is wonderful beyond mere words and tongues, dry at her beauty, cannot bring justice to the glory of her fair countenance. Her love escapes that which can be credited upon this lowly earth and is thusly and truly proclaimed incredible.
Ann finds her immediate employment as an Infectious Diseases 2nd year Resident Pharmacist at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.
Denise Emmert - Maid of Honor
Denise and Ann met in pharmacy school at Creighton and knew pretty much right away that we needed to be friends. We shared many a night not only studying, but going on crazy adventures in Omaha. She was (and still is) a confidant when life wasn't going so well whether it be with school or Ann's love life (or lack there of sometimes!). They definitely helped carry each other through pharmacy school and Ann does not know if she could have made it without her.
Denise is currently living in Denver, CO working as a pharmacist for Rite Aid. She will also be getting married this summer in Denver only three short weeks before the main event!
Morgan Plamondon - Best Man
Daniel and Morgan are friends with history beginning in the third grade. They built forts together in the woods between their homes and raced electric cars throughout high school. Both decided to become aerospace engineers. Morgan succeeded.
Morgan is an Engineer at Boeing in Washington working on the 787 Dreamliner. He lives there with his wife and baby daughter, works on his home, and is learning to brew.
Brittany Kalmi - Bridesmaid
Britt is one of Ann's former college roommates and a very dear friend. She made Ann think outside the box and always tried very hard to get her to stop studying or doing homework and do something much more fun instead. She succeeded on several occasions, but probably less than she would have liked. She has also been a rock for the Bride through the years and Ann is so happy to finally be living closer to her!
Britt graduated last year from medical school at the University of Minnesota and is in the midst of a Family Practice Residency at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Paul, MN.
Samuel Wigton - Groomsman
Samuel is brother to the groom. He may be a fair piece younger but has preceded our hero in the adventure of marriage and is the proud father of three lovely children. One of which has yet to draw breath, but should arrive shortly before the wedding, in time to be made over and admired by one and all.
When home Samuel is the groom's goto man for poker parties, kid watching sessions, darts, and deep conversations.
Julie Rooney - Bridesmaid
Julie is another very dear friend of the bride that goes all the way back to Junior High. They bonded over band and Beanie Babies and annual (well, more like biannual or more) trips to the Mall of America. They also played tennis together and now share the same affinity for shopping (especially shoes!). It has been hard to stay in touch sometimes over the years, but she has always been there for Ann.
Julie is a stay at home mom for the very cute 5 month old Teagan, but also works occasionally as a Veterinary Technician.
Alex Piña - Groomsman
There are but few instances in childhood memory that do not evoke a curly head of hair, a mischievous smile, and a general willingness to go for the big one. Alex is the other half of a sunny childhood and gets a call whenever the groom is Jonesing to lay down some miles on his bike or hit the slopes in gnarly weather.
With love of the edge and a sense of humor that never fails to surprise and delight, there is no such thing as a bad time or a boring time with Mr. Piña.
P.S. a shoutout to Heidi for taking care of my man.
Megan Gauthier - Bridesmaid
Megan and Ann met and friendship grew through the greatest sport on earth - tennis :) Her positive attitude is infectious and her determination inspiring. Being around her pushed Ann to be a better tennis player and a better student. They spent the summers in high school on the tennis courts and for five great years spent a week at St. John's for tennis camp during those summers as well. Like Julie, it has been hard at times to keep in touch, but again, she has always been there for Ann.
Right now Megan is just finishing up medical school and will be graduating this summer. She would like to work in Pediatric Medicine and will be starting her residency at St. Louis Children's Hospital this summer! She will soon be returning from Malawi, Africa after working on a research project for the past 3 months.
Timothy Wigton - Groomsman
The youngest of ten fine children Timothy has shared some unique connections to a brother eleven years his senior. When Daniel returned home to work for several years, Timothy was the only other boy living at home. While deep philosophy and forays into science waited for the occasional showing of Michael Wigton, Timothy was Daniel's buddy in everything else. They competed in Basketball, MarioKart, and jumping over stuff. Timothy has the distinction of being the first and only brother to beat the groom in a sprint. The circumstances were dubious, but it happened and cannot be retracted.
Daniel and Tim moved out to the Twin cities at the same time. (Timothy had spent a year there previously as part of NET) The basketball and jumping over stuff continues, but at a much reduced rate as Daniel spends his hours wooing Ann.
